“Eu sou um artista internacional, dou muito valor e tenho um grande respeito aos meus fas ao redor do mundo. Portanto, em um esforco e para mostrar o meu respeito e apreco, eu traduzi uma pequena parte do meu site para a sua facilidade de uso. Obrigado por seu apoio.” -

Thanks to Sébastien Paquet for featuring me in this wonderful series. To see his fine work click HERE
Also, much love and respect to my best buddy KC Haxton for always being a part of the imagery in my life.
Summer 2011 marks the beginning of a new relationship between Miles Mosley, and MXR Bass Innovations, as the two ink an endorsement deal in which Miles will continue to forge new ground in the world of Upright Bass and effects through the use of pedals designed by the Dunlop Family.
“I’m very excited to be partnered with MXR. I’ve used several MXR pedals as the backbone of my pedal board since the very first time I had the idea to put one together for use with the Upright. The pedals are road-worthy, studio silent, and innovative. I’m very picky who I partner with, and I never court a company whose product I haven’t previously purchased and put through the paces. MXR is an international powerhouse in the world of effects, and I look forward to showing how different and unique their pedals sound on an Upright as opposed to guitar or electric bass.” – Miles Mosley
Miles will be working hand in hand with the MXR Bass Innovations team to create several videos and live performances in the coming months that will demonstrate what is possible with MXR Bass effects and the Upright Bass.
Until then go bookmark Miles’ artist page at the JimDunlop.com website so that you can get the new content as soon as it’s available.
The Photograph on the Dunlop site was taken by Josh Hartley for Blast Cult. Thanks Josh!!

Hello Friends,
I wanted to take a moment to shine a little light on a detail of the music industry that I think is always over-looked. YOU!
In my extensive touring around the world, I have noticed the difference in audiences and fans from country to country, and even city to city. International audiences (anywhere outside of the U.S.A.) have often been lauded as the “best” audiences worldwide, because of their interaction with artists and their innate understanding that it is the fans that are responsible for the success of their favorite artists. I say this because I feel that we in America have been lead to believe that as an audience member, or fan, we have no control over the success, or failure of our favorite acts. Instead we’ve been sold on the idea that massive corporate conglomerates decide what music we hear on the radio and what music we can buy in the store, leaving the internet as the wild west of marketing, promotion and distribution.
Although I won’t go into the details of the day-to-day operations of the industry, I do want to make one thing very clear. As an artist, I am significantly more interested in you “spreading the word” than I am in selling you widgets. I value the fan who tells 10 people “hey you gotta check this out” at the same level as the fan who buys a record. It is not just money that is the all empowering fuel of success, pure word of mouth makes it easier on an artist to book shows, reach larger audiences, and receive the attention that allows them to make better music for you.
Since launching my new site, I have noticed that I am getting a lot of word-of-mouth support from people all around the world, and I want to express my deepest gratitude. You have no idea the type of wonderful opportunities I receive simply because you let someone else know that I am an artist you enjoy. In particular I’d like to thank the following cites for being at the top 10 of my fan-base, purely because they took the time to tell their friends about me:
1. Los Angeles (USA)
2. Helsinki (FINLAND)
3. Seattle (USA)
4. Fauske (NORWAY)
5. Tiller (NORWAY)
6. London (ENGLAND)
7. Moscow (RUSSIA)
8. Munster (GERMANY)
9. Caxius Do Sul (BRASIL)
10.Paris (FRANCE)
I hope that I can continue to make music worthy of your praise and recommendation. This industry is not easy for independent artists but as long as you’re out there enjoying my music I will continue to perform!
Now, if you haven’t already, how about you tell 10 more people about some good music that you like?
Gratefully,
TheStarM: Miles Mosley
