I love Cello too, however what I play is called either an Upright Bass, Contra Basso, or Stand-Up Bass. There are other more “colorful” names the bass has been given over the years but those are the professional standards. The upright bass is a deeper, much larger instrument than the cello. It is also tuned differently. But they’re both beautiful instruments, and now you know you love both of them.
