JLTV Interview and Performance

by theStarM posted May 7th 2010 at 10:11am

I was recently a guest on the comedy show James and Sunda airing on Jewish Life Television. These two hosts were a blast to hang out with and I had a wonderful time performing. You’ll see a solo piece I performed with the Hebrew National Anthem upfront going into Guantanamo. It was  a joy doing this show. I’m always enthused to participate in the Jewish community and it makes my Mother and Grandmother very proud of their little ketzel.

Enjoy,

Miles Interviewed on Notreble.com

by theStarM posted Mar 2nd 2010 at 2:05pm

A new interview with me on Notreble.com has just been posted.

The wonderful editors at Notreble.com sent me a series of interesting questions, some I hadn’t really thought about before. I enjoyed this interview and the depths I was able to delve into concerning the upright bass and the tremendous joy it has brought to my life. Enjoy.

TheStarM,

Miles

“We first discovered the music of Miles Mosley a year ago thanks to Youtube, with his performances of Voodoo Child and Shine.

Since then, we’ve wanted to learn more about this unique bassist who is pushing the upright to new heights, who studied with legendary bassists John Clayton, Ray Brown, and Al McKibbon, and who has one of the best “how I started” stories we’ve heard.

In this wide-ranging interview, Miles delivers, sharing his life as a bassist, his inspiration and his approach to pushing the sonic envelope.”
